How to Make the Best Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies

 Ingredients:

•All-Purpose Flour •Salt •Baking Powder •Baking Soda •Dark Brown Sugar •Granulated Sugar •Egg •Unsalted Butter, melted •Sourdough Discard •Vanilla Extract •Chocolate, roughly chopped

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

Mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Set aside.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the melted butter, sourdough discard, egg, vanilla extract, and sugars together until thickened.

3. Combine

Pour the dry ingredients into the bowl of wet batter and mix until most of the flour is incorporated.

4. Fold in Chocolate

Add the roughly chopped chocolate to the bowl and use a spatula to fold it in until distributed evenly.

5. Chill

Cover and chill the cookie dough for at least three hours to improve the flavor and texture of the cookies.

6. Shape

Use a cookie scoop to scoop out the cookies into equal-sized rounds on a parchment lined baking sheet.

7. Bake

Bake at 350ºF (177ºC) for 12-14 total. Halfway through, pan bang the cookies and repeat every couple of minutes in the oven so the cookies get crispy edges.
